DO I NEED A REPORT FOR MY PROPERTY?
Tenancy deposit protection does not make inventories compulsory. However, in practice, they are essential. Not only will you need an inventory in the sense of a list of items included in the tenancy (e.g. beds, curtains etc) but the schedule of condition will have to record any damage/the condition of each item. They help both landlord and tenant agree on the condition of a property at the start of the tenancy to avoid any dispute.
HOW CAN I ADD COMMENTS TO MY REPORT?
After you receive your inventory report by email it can be opened in any internet browser, on the right hand side of each item inspected throughout the report you will see a "tenants comments" section. You need only to click directly into this box and type any notes. Any additional photos can be added via the camera button.
WHO GETS A COPY OF THE REPORT?
If you have signed your report at check in it will be sent directly to this email address. You should have received your report within 24 hours, if you have not received this then we would always advise you check your JUNK mail first, alternatively please contact
At check out please contact your landlord of agent at least 24 hours after your inspection.
HAS MY REPORT SAVED?
Our reports automatically save comments once you have typed into the “tenants comments” section of the report, we always ask that you sign again after making any notes to finalise your report. Should any comments be added after this then your signature would be removed and an automated email will be sent to you. The report will then be closed for comments after 14 days.
HOW TO FIND A LOST REPORT?
We store every report conducted on a property and as such we will keep a record of your inspection, if you or your agent are not able to find a copy of this then please contact us and we will send you a direct link to your inspection report.
